Our History
1981
Sun Industries launches and enters the market by creating and producing air filters for the automotive industry.
1983
As we perfect our process for creating quality air filters, we begin setting up capabilities to produce cabin filters.
1984
We focus more heavily on research and design, along with building a high‑tech testing facility for continued growth.
1985 - 1987
Our company expands into manufacturing heavy duty industrial air filters, followed by oil filters and then hydraulic filters, with a focus on industrial applications.
1988
We launch our in‑depth research and development process to better meet the needs of our partners, including in‑house mold‑making and prototyping.
1989
We begin to focus on expanding into the original equipment business and see immediate success given our commitment to partner experience.
1990 - 2000
We continue to be awarded manufacturing partnerships with OE companies, enabling us to further develop and refine our processes. As our team integrates testing capabilities and equipment, we expand into the European market.
2005
We integrate robotics into our manufacturing process with interest in automation and forward thinking within the industry.
2010
Our company rebrands with a new logo and tagline: “Eclipsing the Ordinary.”
2017
We expand production and offerings with an additional state‑of‑the-art manufacturing facility.
2018
We develop a new company motto that reflects our core ethos: “Partners, Not Customers.”
2019
We expand our custom filter creation into the railway industry.
